WHAT
IS THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION?
The SGA
works closely with faculty and staff to ensure that student
needs and concerns are addressed, students are represented on
all standing committees, and student input is considered in the
formulation of college policy. In addition, many of the social activities at the college are
sponsored by the SGA.
WHAT
IS THE
MISSION
OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION?
The CCBC
Essex SGA is a diverse and committed group of individuals who
serve as the voice of the student body with the purpose of
enriching student life by expanding their cultural,
intellectual, and social experiences. The Association places an emphasis on building strong student
leaders and role modeling responsibility within the college
community.
WHO
IS ELIGIBLE TO JOIN?
Any
student, who is currently enrolled at CCBC Essex, whether
part-time or full-time, is eligible to be part of the SGA and/
or hold an SGA officer position. Representatives from each student club and organization are
also part of the SGA.
